Congratulations to Edgewood's Principal! 

Mrs.Melana Cassell, was one of four MCSD principals recognized as a High Performance Principal!  Characteristics of a High Performance Principal include: The candidate's school showed higher than expected scores on state Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests (CRCT) in four of five subjects assessed in elementary or middle school ( Reading, English/Language Arts, Science, Mathematics, and Social Studies).

 

   Edgewood Makes AYP!

     AYP is one of the cornerstones of the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. It is a measure of year-to-year student achievement on statewide assessments.

     Open House is Thursday, September 4th from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 

 

     Our Fall Book Fair will be held in the media center on Tuesday, September 2nd through Friday, September 5th.  Parents and friends are invited to visit the fair anytime during school hours or from 4:30 until 6:30 during our open house on Thursday, September 4th.

     Edgewood's Uniform Guidelines. Based on parent and student survey results from spring 2008, Edgewood students will begin wearing  uniforms on August 11, 2008!  Uniforms will consist of navy or khaki pants or skirts.  Shirts may be yellow, white, or navy polo's or collared shirts.  If you have any questions, please contact the school at 706-565-3048.
